Pearl City, Indiana, a small, run down community of ramshackle houses and derelict trailers nestled in between the town levee and the Wabash River basin, was, at one time, the moonshine hot spot for Knox County, Indiana. That's not to say it was necessarily an undesirable place to live or congregate; most folks there were the quiet, peaceful type, hard working fishermen and stay at home wives and kids just wanting to run the river bank and have fun. The art of distilling moonshine came into the picture much later, when the economy had begun to suffer and the Pearl City folks along with it. Home brew and home-distilled corn liquor was merely a way to make ends meet, to put food on the table and keep the lights on, and most of the locals thought nothing of it – and, at times, would even tend to partake in the delicious homemade libations. All was well until the moonshine zombies showed up. That's right; zombies. Ugly, knuckle-dragging, rotting, putrid, brain sucking, gut chomping zombies. Yeah...I know. Zombies aren't real, they are just made up monsters you see on TV and at the movie theater. Not so. I should know...I was there....
