In Mystery, Indiana, author David Boyer revisits not only his past, but his future as well, all via his ever vivid imagination and his memories of growing up in the baby boomer generation. In the title story, he reflects back on the day he met his first true love, only to realize she may be a ghost; in the story “Star Trek and Moonshine,” he and his best friend, Philip, are utilizing the old glass factory as a place to imagine they are flying through a nearby galaxy on the Starship Enterprise, only to realize they have stumbled upon an illegal moonshine operation, and the moonshiners don't intend to let them escape without a fight; and in the story, “Restless Hearts,” the author and his best friend roam the streets of their hometown late at night, knowing they are on the verge of growing up soon, and intend to spend one last night being teenagers, before the reality of adulthood creeps in and takes away the innocence of youth and sends them in different paths forever. A collection of coming of age tales as only author David Boyer could tell them – or you would want to read them.
