Back in the Day is a collection of short stories that describes an imaginary side of the Afro-American experience. Back in the Day gives a fictional account of the origin of Kwanzaa and the birth of an American superhero. It also deals with such contemporary issues as women lib and romance in the workplace; and the anguish that a young man endures when he is incarcerated after a careless mistake.
