Among Confessional Lutherans, especially since the nineteenth century, there have probably been more controversies over the doctrine of the Ministry than over any other subject. Can unity in this area - on the basis of Scripture, the Confessions, and the best of the Lutheran theological tradition - even be found? The proposal and thesis of this book is that the answer to that question is a resounding Yes!
