A Letter From Janet

A Letter From Janet is the story of a clandestine affair between a female commissioned army officer and a National Serviceman. Each had something to offer the other but the problems that it raised made it anything but the normal boy and girl romance. Fraternisation at this level just wasn’t allowed and detection would have meant immediate postings and separation that would have been punishment for both of them. Keeping it secret wasn’t easy with at least four hundred pairs of eyes in attendance. When the affair became a relationship, instead of life becoming easier for them it presented other problems that had to be addressed. Nothing in life that is worth having comes easily, or so it seemed.
