Road Trips Through Life

A Biographical Memoir

ParDwight Steen

Habituellement imprimé en 3-5 jours ouvrés
Road Trips Through Life is the story of a boy whose grandparents and parents were pioneering farmers in Crawford and Hancock Counties, Ohio. Dwight Steen grew up on their farm and went off to the Ohio State University intending to continue the family's farming tradition. Instead, he decided to help farmers around the world improve their lives by becoming better farmers. Dwight earned degrees in Agricultural Economics, served in the Peace Corps with his high school sweetheart, joined the US Foreign Service in the United States Agency for International Development, retired and briefly owned and ran a computer business before becoming a freelance agricultural consultant. Dwight and Peggy Steen have been global travelers with family, friends and former Foreign Service colleagues. This is a story about a family that chose a life of service and brought revolutions in technology and in agriculture to farmers in nineteen countries on five continents. In retirement, they've traveled in 23 countries on five continents. Road Trips Through Life contains more than 60 photos and images. Six exhibits include deep family genealogy, history of a family farm in the 1800s, life on an Ohio farm in the mid-20th Century, a list of 28 consultancies and other professional travel, and a list of nineteen travel scrapbooks
