A couple of years ago, I traveled the length of Mexico in a ‘76 Toyota rv. It’s not only expensive with gas down there at the time =$3.20 a gallon, but the roads reek rumbling thunder with your vehicle. I’d prefer to hitch, which I’ve done a lot of in Mexico, I hopped a train down there once, but was discovered and told to remove myself from it before it even got under way. But , given a choice, I’d ride the bus when I have the cash to do so. Their system beats Greyhound in the states hands down. It only costs a penny a mile to go anywhere in the country. The busses on the main thoroughfares are awesome nice and new, with movies running for the distance traveler. Mexicans yield to busses whereas they aim at the tourist who’s behind his own wheel. Local vendors are waiting with home made burritos & miscellaneous for sale at most every stop. They run fairly true to schedule (not so in the US). The following Novel is a story that takes place: Beyond WHERE THE BIG BUS STOPS
