Most of the Letters which comprise this volume were discovered by nthe editor in the archives of Jireh Chapel, Lewes, E Sussex, UK. On investigation, they were found to be part of a larger exchange of correspondence between Joseph Morris of Lewes and William Hudson, firstly of Manchester and then Sheffield, Yorkshire. Illustrative appendices have been added as well as extensive explanitory footnotes.
