Meg Davidson marries Chase Star. When Chase changes his mind about having children, Meg decides to leave to have a baby on her own. On her adventure, she meets George Benedict. George is fond of Meg, but gets pressured into marriage to Trixie Avery. Oakland Avery, Trixie's brother, is also interested in Meg, but is on a search for his mother who is missing. What he and other's discover is worse than anyone had imagined.
