last spring, I dreamt that I was at a summer solstice party at my parents’ house. I was surrounded by friends that I didn’t recognize, but in the moment I knew them. there was a man, but I didn’t see his face (I never see his face). he had a lot of rips in his jeans and wherever his skin would show, flowers were there instead. bright ones. we were moving around a lot, in sync with each other. at one point we were all lying on the ground and it looked like we were in a giant bubble. like the whole earth was. when I’d move my head, I’d see the bubble react to the sun and rainbows would wiggle across the sky. I think I was in love with this man. I walked over to my mom, smiling, and she said, "oh, don’t be such a soft human."
