A prisoner of war during World War II and a NASA photographer during the glory days of spaceflight, Eugene Edmonds witnessed firsthand the two defining events of the 20th century. In these pages, he recalls an amazing life--from a humble childhood in rural Virginia, to his ordeal as a captive of the Nazis, to his long fulfilling career as a cameraman in America's space program.
