This brief essay takes a look at the verses of the sixth stanza of Andrew Marvell’s poem “The Garden”. Andrew Marvell lived in the times of Oliver Cromwell when England was engulfed in wars. Andrew served as a parliamentarian and a first assistant of John Milton, with the times having an impact on his poetry. He has been called one of England’s greatest metaphysical poets and his poetry has included the poems “To His Coy Mistress” and “The Garden”.
