Private International Commercial Arbitration

Arbitration is one of the most important Alternative Dispute Resolution methods (ADR), however, International commerce between private parties is not exempted from possible disputes. For that reason there are several mechanisms that parties can use to resolve their differences. With the concept of arbitration the science of law has evolved to a procedure where the parties can create their own regulations, conserving only certain guidelines that every process needs to maintain in order to assure legality. This book will analyze international and domestic legislation such as The New York Convention and the Panama Convention, UNCITRAL, as well as some comparative topics with the Argentine law. It also includes the following topics: the scope of arbitration, the arbitration agreement and the standard of review.
