The Steampunk world is a rich, glorious, fascinating, astonishing, universe, in which one can revel in all the amazing mysteries, but one must also realize that it is often fraught with risk and oftimes danger. This danger can reveal itself in many ways, from a petty cutpurse, a ner’do’well, a ruffian intent on imposing their will or an organized gang of hoodlums wreaking havoc on the gentile populace. Steampunk adventurers face even greater adversaries in the forms of rogue automatons, augmented humans, crazed beasts, supernatural events amongst other possibilities. It is the fervent desire of the author that this manual may be of some assistance to forearm the reader allowing them to do their best to prepare for the possibility of encountering these persons who live outside the laws, organizations who wish to do them harm or unnatural forces seeking to bring chaos into this existence.
