Ouroboros

An epic space opera in convenient novella form! Galactic empires clash to control the sole source of an exotic element essential for their interstellar civilizations. A group of combatants from both sides of the last revolution were captured and imprisoned by the mysterious GORE. Forced to work together as their bodies are transformed in often grotesque ways, they encounter a decadent civilization indifferent to events outside their well protected space. This band of misfits must choose whether to join them or go back to avert the unjust annihilation of a spacefaring species, and free another from cruel enslavement.
