Soulatude

Every artist thirsts to find his or her voice artistically. But what do you do when your voice is the remix of someone else’s? Or when you open your mouth to let your voice scream and only silence escapes? If I truly loved myself, why was I so afraid to be by myself? That’s when the journey to my soulatude began. Soulatude, the debut work of poet, Goldie Deane, contains 50 of some of her favorite poems, from haiku's, to prose, to free verse to slams.These gifts were born over a 12 year span in my soulatude; the place, where my soul was reborn.
