There are certain things you expect from a pre-code horror comic: some violence, the occasional vampire and/or werewolf, definitely bondage or inappropriate situations for the time, and beautiful women who either are rescued from a grisly fate, are NOT rescued from a grisly fate, or in some way bring others to a grisly fate. STRANGE MYSTERIES did not disappoint. The stories and artwork are excellent and the BWTM ratio (That's “Beautiful-Women-To-Monster” ratio) is some of the best of the era. STRANGE MYSTERIES brings you story after story that will make you shiver just a little bit --- or, if you're the squeamish type, a lot! This is not the most complete or prettiest collection in history. In addition to missing issue #10 (Volume 2) we are missing a couple pages from #2 (Volume 1) and stories from #17 (Volume 3). Some issues also show the age and wear of many decades. We're always working to upgrade our collections, and when we are able to complete it you can get a free replacement; in the meantime we hope you will appreciate their imperfect authenticity.
