"Goodbye Tito" is the memoir of Ivanka Paul, born in 1939 in Croatia. In it, she recounts her memories of a young woman with provincial and conservative views, living in Yugoslavia under the dictatorial regime of Josip Broz, known as Tito, before settling in France.
This book is a precious and unique testimony for the new generation of Croatians, relating the traditions and roots of Croatia's creation between the two world wars until Tito's death. Translated from French into English, it is also available in Croatian.
Ivanka Paul is a Franco-Croatian writer. Living in Croatia, she spent sixty years in Paris. A poet and writer, she is a member of the Société des Poètes Français (Society of French Poets) and the Communauté des Artistes Parisiens (Parisian Artists' Community). She received the Silver Medal from the Société Académique des Arts, des Sciences et des Lettres (Academic Society of Arts, Sciences and Letters). In 1997,
Dr. Franjo Tuđman, the first president of Croatia, personally presented him with the Order of the Croatian Interlacing (Red hrvatskog pletera).
