DRAFTED

The book is non-fiction and describes the personal experiences of the author being drafted into the US Army in 1952. It covers everything from the induction process to honorable discharge in 1954. As the great majority of Americans have little or no knowledge of the conscription experience and some menbers of Congress favor reenacting the Draft, I felt that my military service could shed some light on the matter and be helpful in the decision process which we all will be involved in if the Congress decides to act in this matter. I was one of many who was forced by law to leave civilian life and serve in the military.
