Psalms

The Psalms contain the most magnificent poems of our civilization. Yet at the time they were written, the image of God was one of retaliation – a male warrior with wrath and cruelty. The Coming of Christ changed that forever. Two thousand years later our image of God has advanced even farther. Compassion, love of one another, and of the Beloved of our souls, has changed us and obliterates the hate, vengeance, and revenge of the original version. For that reason the poetry of the Psalms has been revitalized, made to live again as a tree on which to hang our praise, devotions, and guideposts. May you be blessed as you read these pages.
