A butcher named Cheech overcomes Homeric obstacles on an odyssey around Lake Michigan to slaughter a prized red steer for Zeus to serve at a feast on Mount Olympus. The story is inspired by the life of Jim Grauvogl, the author's uncle who suffered and died from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to fight ALS.
