John D'Angelo has been involved with stereo systems since the early 1960's. This is a basic guide to choosing and setting up an audio system for the beginner. The guide has pictures of equipment, diagrams and takes a look at what is available for the new listener. Both new and vintage equipment are shown. This is not a review of equipment, it is a guide to help the newcomer to the hobby understand the basics of audio systems.
