Spelling Journal

FREE. The Spelling Journal is NOT a component of Reading Lessons Through Literature. Instead, it is used afterwards with prepared dictation. The Spelling Journal contains space to write and analyze words according to spelling rules or phonograms. Included in the file are both a primary grade and a wide rule version of the Spelling Journal. The file also contains a set of 75 phonogram flashcards to cut out as well as a reference sheet to print with all 75 phonograms with examples to be printed on one side and the 30 spelling rules to be printed on the other side. There are also a dozen different covers to choose from at the end of the file. It provides a space to analyze words before dictation and makes identifying problem areas a snap.
