Lana quickly learned that every single day on this Spanish island is a voyage into unknown territories, whether it is battling with her Spanish husband about what is acceptable as a first course vs. second course for dinner, or making a one letter mistake and asking for penis instead of chicken at the butcher shop. She never imagined that her work day would often start late due to tractors, pigs and sheep in the road, or end with archaeology students proudly showing her two-thousand-year-old Roman skulls.
