In honor of the 125th anniversary of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Worcester, Massachusetts (organized 21 July 1896, incorporated 19 February 1898), EMANUEL ANNIVERSARY SERVICE, for treble voices & organ, composed by LEONARDO CIAMPA (Director of Music, Emanuel Lutheran Church, Mechanics Hall Composer-in-residence 2021-2023). First performed on Sunday, 22 May 2022 at 9:30 a.m. Emanuel Lutheran Church in Worcester, Massachusetts. at the church's 125th anniversary service. Presiding minister: Thomas Houston, LLM. Guest preacher: The Rev. James E. Hazelwood, Bishop, NE Synod ELCA. Musicians: Emanuel Church Choir, Ensemble Lyrae, Letitia Stevens, soprano soloist, directed by the composer at the organ.
