Most Americans live on the STANDARD AMERICAN DIET (SAD) which is a diet heavily loaded with fat, sugar, and salt. These types of foods lead to increased inflammation in the body and diseases that most Americans suffer from such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, Type II diabetes, and all types of cancers. Benefits I have seen after changing to a plant-based diet include lower A1C, lower blood pressure, lower inflammation, and a 20lb weight loss. Some people only want to replace some of their meals with plant-based cooking. Others are ready to dive in full force. Only you can determine your level of comfort by changing your diet.
