Hannah O’Brien is an artist in Philadelphia. We follow her from 1992 to 2021. This novel shows daily experience through the lens of an artist, while telling a red riding hood tale, where the wolf plays a strange long game. It is part love story, part horror story, but all with a sense of humor. A little bit crass, a little bit juvenile, but with heart. It is the first novel by Maria Elizabeth Afif Fisher: M. E. Fisher. She deals with her own struggles with religious upbringing and the unease she felt as a suburban mother. It also draws on real life experience as a Philadelphia artist, from New York suburbs.
