Habituellement imprimé en 3-5 jours ouvrés
On February 11, 1860, the first published biography of Abraham Lincoln appeared on the front page of The Chester County Times. This biography influenced one million voters and propelled Lincoln towards the presidency.
The building where this historic publication took place continues to stand in downtown West Chester. The Lincoln Building, as it is now called, is owned by the Chester County Community Foundation. Net proceeds from the deluxe edition of For the Union go towards preserving and protecting this historic structure as a time-capsule into our past.
Follow the extraordinary story of how Quaker abolition, a hanging, a slave riot, and a small newspaper in West Chester helped launch Lincoln's quest for the presidency.
