7 years ago Jezzamyn Taylor watched fairies kill her father-although, in her defense, at the same time she believed them to be your average, run-of-the-mill human murderers.One of Jazzamyn’s new friends, Michael, seems to be a bit off-kilter. It occurred to her that the happy-go-lucky façade he puts on is simply an act. When she finds a note that spoke about the “Fae” hidden underneath her brother’s floorboards, she goes to her mysterious Mr. Michael for help but is strangely told her to mind her own business. Her friends reaction to the finding of the note triggered great curiosity as to who, or what, the Fae really are. With the help of an elderly woman, Jezzamyn learns just exactly who the Fae are and why Michael tried to warn her away. Because Jezzamyn Is human she wasn’t allowed to know about the Fae. The punishment for that was death. No she has to make a choice of going to their native realm or refuse their offer, and die.
