Cachitos Dulces is a glimpse into barrio life in Las Cruces, New Mexico during the early 1950's. It is a collection of character sketches of neighbors and family members in a small community through the eyes of a little girl. There is warmth, humor, sadness, and lots of love sprinkled in the everyday life of these very special people. Actual photographs are used to illustrate the text.
