This is a poetry collection of personal reflections on life and the human experience. Living as an artist in the world, my approach to experiencing life is innately lived throughout the extremities of imagination and observation. I illustrated the cover art under the inspiration of Mahler's "Urlicht." A piece which is featured both in his liederkreis, Des Knaben Wunderhorn, and his second symphony: The Ressurection. The text begins with: O Röschen rot..." which means, interpretively, "Oh red rose..." Mahler's compositions have long been a source of influence and consolation for me. Through the interplay of language and music, may this be a collection where readers can find connection, solace, and a deeper understanding of their own experiences.
