We can start with the disclaimer, or end with it – but we know it has to be there: The stories in this volume have a sexist theme, are wholly inappropriate in modern society, and would send some people into apoplectic fits. Nonetheless, here we are! In the mid-20th Century the newsstands were full of incredible tales, lurid stories, and more sexy maidens than most people knew existed. The publications were strictly third-row material, and while many were produced by major publishers (including comic publishers such as Marvel and DC/National) this fact was hidden behind unknown company names. They skirted the edge of what was allowed, and their fact-checking was slightly lax, but the magazines tailored for men were very popular. Today they are hard to find because they were printed in low numbers, produced on fragile paper, and rarely collected - - but they are a part of our history, and Gwandanaland Comics is pleased to offer a great selection of these fun books!
