From the late 40s until the comic implosion of the mid 50s, Star Publications was, based on the 49 titles and 279 issues published, at least marginally successful. They had the most success with funny animal, romance, and jungle comics, but teased us with some great crime-genre comics, include CRIME-FIGHTING DETECTIVE. This thrilling criminals-versus -the-law title featured covers by the CoverMaster L.B. Cole, and some work by George Tuska and Louis Golden – plus many stories as yet unattributed by comic experts of the modern day! CRIME-FIGHTING DETECTIVE ran for 9 issues (1950-1952); this great collection brings you the complete stories from this great series, because that's what we do; we make great reprints, and we dance!
