Featuring work from masters like Wally Wood, Joe Kubert, and E.R. Kinstler, and portraying controversial situations and over-the-top horror, it is easy to see why EERIE is still considered a late Golden Age Classic. Avon Periodicals was known for their adult-themed horror, and EERIE is no exception. The series lasted 17 great issues; this first volume contains issues #1-8 (1951-1952), PLUS the 1947 one-shot EERIE COMICS, which is considered to the the first horror comic in America!
