CANCELLED BIRD

This book is the result of a chance encounter with some bird stamps in a thrift shop in January 2002. They were cancelled, but could they still fly? We decided to find out. The post 9/11 atmosphere of New York began asserting itself immediately and new stamps emerged from the originals.
