This collection provides detailed reminiscences of farm life in Saskatchewan during the 1920's and 1930's, followed by the author's experiences at Normal School (for teachers) in Regina, teaching in one-room schools and secondary schools during the depression era and 1940's, and living in small rural communities. The memories are conveyed in a series of narrative prose-poems, capturing the texture of life in these times; and rendering people, places and events in the close detail of direct experience.
