Performance Management can feel uncomfortable, un-professional and simply not what many of you may have thought you would be having to do when you first chose your career. The good news is that it is all relatively easy, if you just apply yourselves to the concepts, processes and overall philosophy. And it does influence and improve client and staff relationships which in turn means you are able to make more profits – that is, of course, if you want to! This book sets out the basic premise of Performance Management, the component elements and some tips and techniques on how to introduce and maintain an effective system. I have complied the methods and techniques from my own experiences and from colleagues, in particular Adrian Towell, who has remained a source of endless stories and fun moments.
