REVIEWS AND COMMENTARY (1983-2004)

The present file is the e-version of most of the reviews I have written in a lifetime as an Americanist. Besides reviews, it contains some short papers I wrote and never published, or published in places that might make them hard to find. Unfortunately, it is not complete, but what I found is here. Some of the papers are longer and less perfect than the published versions, reflecting what I wrote prior to editorial improvements and cuts. I have made no attempt to improve any of the papers, nor to regularize the style (written for several different editors). However, I have adjusted font size for easy reading off a computer screen (16 pts). The purpose of this e-volume is to rescue many of my minor writings from total oblivion. It is a convenient way to access most of them quickly and inexpensively, and the General Index will help one spot passages of potential interest. ¡Buen provecho!
