The Deserted City

On the 3rd of March 1988, a few archaeologists set out on a trip across the Savannah of Australia. They were travelling in two Land Rovers and they were on a leisure trip. They were enjoying every bit of their trip. As they were driving, they spotted a few zebras, a few giraffes and also a few elephants. There were five of them on the trip. they saw no more animals. It was as if they had abruptly disappeared from the landscape around them. At first, they thought, this was normal. But as they drove further inland there was still no sight of any animals. They began to suspect that there was something strange going on. They kept driving. After some time, as Henry was looking out of the window, he saw a glimpse of something. Then it suddenly faded away. It looked like a fortress. After about five to six seconds, he again saw it. But then, it faded away out of sight again...
