A Perfect Landing

The Story of New Haven Kentucky

ParPhil Johnson

Habituellement imprimé en 3-5 jours ouvrés
This is the story of New Haven Kentucky, its origin, where it has been, and where it is today. Credit for the title “A Perfect Landing” goes to David Rust. When preparation began for the 200 Year Celebration of the town’s creation, David came up with this title for our celebration.   NO attempt to footnote and formalize the sources used has been made, since many are oral history and have never been formally documented. A great deal of the information is derived from past newspapers, US census records, county records (deeds & wills), church records, cemeteries, local historians and genealogists. This work is presented in the form of a story, so it will be read and enjoyed by everyone and not just academic historians. Some statements are based on the circumstantial information collected and oral history from current and former residents.    There have been a significant number of sub-stories that expand on the basic information in the main body of this work. For those that enjoy the details, we welcome the opportunity to share more information.  Maybe it will inspire you to dig into and share your own family history.
