Scablands is the true story of cartoonist R. L. Crabb, who found himself at the crossroads of mid-life crisis after two decades of sex, drugs and rock'n'roll. Threatened with divorce and legal retribution for a cartoon skewering public officials, there seemed to be only one way out: Move to Yakima, Washington and take a job as a repo man. Along the way, he discovered the darker side of Washington's history with a long dead Native American holy man, and maybe a path to redemption, if he chooses the right fork in the road.
