In ‘The Cripple Creek Dilemma,’ Jason Eastly, a former deputy sheriff, is seeking a fresh start. Hoping to leave behind the painful memories of his lost fiancée, he heads to Cripple Creek, ready to take on a new life as the town's sheriff. But the journey isn’t as simple as he expected. Against warnings, Jason decides to take a shortcut through the mysterious and dangerous Twenty-Mile Square, an area known for its eerie landscape and the terrifying rumors of a deadly monster that haunts it. As Jason makes his way through the darkened terrain, the atmosphere grows thick with tension, and he soon comes face to face with the creature of nightmares—a massive beast with glowing red eyes, claws, and fangs. Fleeing to the safety of a towering oak tree, Jason’s heart races as the monster hunts nearby. When dawn finally breaks, he makes his way to Cripple Creek, forever changed by the night’s encounter. But will he be able to face the challenges ahead as the new sheriff of this strange and haunted town?
