A story of persecution set in the future when the most advance robots are almost indistinguishable from real humans. A man is arrested by The Power Above for reasons unknown to him. He falls in love with one of his interrogators whom he calls Mary Rose. They try to escape together and a great adventure follows when they explore unknown territory including an erupting volcano and learn to know and love each other.
