AFRICAN RITUAL

Duet for marimba and percussion sets (toms, cowbells, ankle rattle, horn effect, tin cans). Execution requires preparation for both middle level tools. Inspired by the day of an African tribe's warrior, he begins with a hunting horn or blowing in the neck of a bottle in free interpretation then begins the hunting moment described by the metal sound of tin cans and long drum wood , two different stamps and two superimposed times to emphasize the adrenaline moment of the hunt and then return to the village for the ritual where the song of the marimba begins. It is a composition where African rhythm and song combine creating an evocative atmosphere.
