Adhavan

It was around 600 BC—200 BC, the land was filled with bloodthirsty, war mongering, power craving men. While the power circles were trying to secure their existing boundaries and grab new pieces of land, Adhavan was much intrigued by men of greater wisdom, inherent divinity, and supernatural powers, known as Siddhars (South Indian Mystics). They triggered in him the quest for God. It led him to Siddhar Macham, who took him in, and bestowed upon him the highest states of spiritual experiences a human being can ever attain. Eventually he stayed with their family, won all their hearts, and befriended his son Killivalavan—the greatest warrior of the region. Their friendship and individual accomplishments so naturally threatened the very existence of the local power circles and their social status. This brewed red hot jealousy, not only among the social elites of the power circle, but as well as within Siddhar Macham’s family. ‘What happened then?’ is the questions the novel will answer for itself.
