This volume presents a collection of texts from Cmiique Iitom (Seri), a language isolate from northwestern Mexico. The work integrates previous lexical documentation and grammatical studies, and sets forth a broad as well as detailed perspective on the intricacies of the language and culture. The texts are interlinearized following current international standards and provide a connection with the published dictionary and the forthcoming grammar. Some of the texts were recorded more than fifty years ago just as major cultural changes were beginning to take place, while others were written during the last decade.
