Jython Tutorial Jython is the JVM implementation of the Python programming language. It is designed to run on the Java platform. Jython was created in 1997 by Jim Hugunin. It closely follows the standard Python implementation called CPython. Jython 2.7.0 was released in May 2015, which corresponds to CPython 2.7.
