Breaking Free from Domestic Violence

Have you ever met someone and thought they were the one? I have and knew when I first laid eyes on the individual, that I did not have to look any further. At times we can be so blinded by our feelings towards another, we do not see the red flags. I guess you could say, I deep down needed someone to love me and vice verse. I was very independent during those years, and focused my time and energy, on working. When I met this individual My life had taken a downward turn, and I found myself homeless. My pride got the best of me, in terms of seeking out any form of government services, for individuals in my predicament. I carried myself as a tough, serious individual on the outside, as long as I can remember, and knew I could tough it out if I found myself in a situation like this. The man who I met that summer evening, seemed to brighten my spirits somewhat and helped me to forget the situation I was in, I had no idea what I was in store for but took that leap of faith.
