This collection of essays, written over a period of several years, discusses various events in the religious and political history of the Balkans, excluding Greece. The longest and most recent essays are devoted to the True Orthodox Churches of Serbia and Romania in particular. It is hoped that they will contribute to a deeper understanding of a little-known but very important segment of Orthodox Church history.
