WELCOME LETTER Dear Friend, If you are reading these words, there is a good chance your heart is carrying a burden that few people truly understand. The silence of an estranged adult child can create a grief unlike any other. It is a loss that often goes unseen. A sorrow that is rarely acknowledged. A wound that many people struggle to describe. You may be carrying questions that have no answers. You may be carrying guilt, regret, confusion, anger, sadness, or fear. You may be wondering whether healing is even possible. If so, please know this: You are not alone. Thousands of parents silently carry the same burden every day. More importantly, God sees every tear, hears every prayer, and understands every emotion. This workbook was created to provide a safe place for reflection, healing, growth, and hope. It is not designed to force reconciliation. It is designed to help you heal regardless of what the future holds. Throughout these pages, you will find biblical encouragement, practical exercises, guided prayers, journal prompts, reflection questions, and affirmations designed to strengthen your heart during one of life’s most difficult journeys. Take your time. Move at your own pace. Return to sections whenever necessary. Most importantly, extend grace to yourself. Healing is not a straight line. Some days will feel easier. Some days will feel harder. Both are part of the process. As you begin this journey, remember that your pain matters, your healing matters, and your future still matters. May God comfort your heart, strengthen your faith, and fill you with hope as you move forward. With compassion and understanding, [W.G]
